Among our preferred timber selections are the following: British Douglas Fir is particularly well-suited for external applications due to its impressive natural resilience against fungal decay and infestation. Douglas Fir cladding is an excellent choice for those who appreciate a red-brown wood hue, contributing to a rich and natural aesthetic that retains its striking appearance for decades. Larch timber is recognised for its strength and durability, rendering it resistant to decay and rot when adequately treated and maintained. This quality makes it an ideal option for exterior cladding, as it can endure harsh weather conditions and possesses a long lifespan. Larch features a distinctive appearance, characterised by a warm golden to reddish-brown colour and a prominent grain pattern. If left untreated, this timber weathers to a silver-grey shade over time, which is often desired for its natural and rustic aesthetic.
